Want to have some fun with hand hygiene? It is our pleasure to share Cal Stat Rap, a video written and produced by Pauline Albrecht, a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital. The video underscores the seriousness around following proper hand hygiene protocols to prevent the spread of infection with a catchy tune called Cal Stat Rap. The video stars Massachusetts General nurses, doctors, management supply workers, Universal Service Assistants (housekeeping), Patient Care Associates, food service workers, Operation Assistants, patients and even Pauline's family makes a guest appearance.

Highlighted on the June 2nd broadcast of WBUR, Boston's NPR radio station, the video features rapping, rhyming, high-fiving and conga-line dancing as the staff demonstrates the importance of proper hand hygiene using STERIS Cal Stat^® antiseptic hand rub.
